Description
A lovely example of a Taiwanese high mountain oolong! Grown in the Jade mountain range, atop Li Shan; literally translateds to Pear Mountain, which is part of the highest mountain ranges in beautiful Taiwan, the oolong tea plants thrive in the cool and wet temperatures common throughout the region. Known for its purity- in color, aroma and taste, Li Shan High Mountain Oolong is produced in a way to preserve its purity as much as possible. Only the slightest roasting of the leaves is performed to keep the tea leaves fresh and to accentuate the lightly roasted sweet taste that oolong teas are known for. The tea bushes are scattered among natural growing fruit trees, it is said that the leaves absorb a multitude of flavors, the most distinctive being the subtle essence of pear! Our lovely Li Shan High Mountain oolong delivers multiple steepings of floral, pure, fruit-like oolong flavor with notes of papaya, pear, and passionfruit. |
